- personal protective equipment (PPE);
- slower workflows;
- increased emotional support;
- additional administrative coordination; and
- extended sorting and decision-making.
For qualifying projects, Organize My Place reserves the right to apply a 20% Severe Clutter & Hoarding Service Surcharge.
Any applicable surcharge will always be discussed with and approved by the Client prior to commencement of work.
Travel, Parking & Property Access
Organize My Place proudly serves clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Projects outside our standard service area may incur additional travel charges, including travel time, bridge tolls, parking fees, permit costs, valet charges, overnight accommodation (where applicable), or other reasonable travel-related expenses. Any anticipated travel fees will be disclosed before booking whenever reasonably possible.
Clients are responsible for providing safe and legal access to the property, including any required gate codes, building access instructions, elevator reservations, loading dock bookings, or parking permits.
Where free legal parking is unavailable, applicable parking fees or permits will be added to the final invoice.
If our team experiences delays due to restricted property access, unavailable parking, locked premises, elevators, loading docks, or waiting for the Client or third parties, such waiting time shall remain billable at our standard hourly rate.
Supplies & Product Sourcing
To help every project run efficiently, Organize My Place provides a range of professional organizing equipment, including, where appropriate:
- labels and markers;
- step ladders;

Products are billed at cost.
A Product Sourcing & Curation Fee may apply to cover the administrative time associated with researching products, comparing options, shopping, coordinating purchases, exchanges, returns, and installation planning. Any applicable sourcing fee will be communicated to the Client prior to purchase. All products will be discussed and approved before purchase.
Donations, Selling Items & Disposal
At the Client's request, Organize My Place is pleased to assist with preparing items to be kept, donated to a registered charity, gifted to a family or individual in need, sold, recycled, or responsibly disposed of. Whenever practical, we strive to give quality items a second life before considering disposal, while always respecting the Client's wishes.
Where donation items reasonably fit within our vehicle, we may transport them to a local charitable organization for our standard Donation Removal Fee. Where available, donation receipts will be provided for tax purposes; however, Organize My Place cannot guarantee that receiving organizations will issue receipts.
For larger quantities, oversized furniture, excessive waste, or projects requiring trailers, dump runs, or third-party hauling services, additional labour, transportation, disposal, and landfill fees may apply.
During multi-day organizing projects, we may also assist the Client in preparing and listing selected higher-value items for resale through online marketplaces. Organize My Place does not guarantee the sale price, timing, or successful sale of any item.
While we make every reasonable effort to donate, gift, recycle, or responsibly dispose of unwanted items, Organize My Place cannot guarantee that every item will be accepted by a charitable organization or rehomed, as acceptance policies and demand vary between organizations and recipients.

Any delays resulting from hazardous materials shall remain billable.
Personal Property & Client Authorization
The Client represents and warrants that they are the lawful owner of, or otherwise have the legal authority to make decisions regarding, all property that Organize My Place is instructed to organize, relocate, donate, recycle, sell, discard, or otherwise handle.
Any items placed by the Client, or designated by the Client, within donation, recycling, sale, or disposal areas shall be deemed authorized for removal.
Clients are strongly encouraged to remove or clearly identify any sentimental, confidential, irreplaceable, or high-value items prior to the commencement of services.
While our team exercises the utmost care and makes every reasonable effort to identify and set aside valuables such as jewellery, cash, passports, personal identification, legal documents, photographs, heirlooms, and other important belongings encountered during the organizing process, projects involving significant clutter, chronic disorganization, packing and unpacking, move management, or hoarding conditions may contain hidden or concealed items that are not readily visible.
For this reason, Organize My Place cannot guarantee that every valuable or sentimental item will be identified during the course of the project. Clients are encouraged to conduct a final review of any items designated for donation, sale, recycling, or disposal before they leave the property.
Household Safety
Our team is committed to maintaining a safe working environment for everyone involved.
Clients agree to maintain reasonably safe conditions throughout the appointment, including securing pets where appropriate and advising us of any known hazards within the property.
